| For two hundred years, the Immaculate Conception School of Theology (ICST), located in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, has been the formation house of future priests in Northern Luzon, and has ordained a collection of priests who are serving the church, not only in the region, but around the globe. Much of the seminary’s funding comes from the support of her benefactors, the twelve dioceses in the region and their annual overseas Mission Appeal. With the Covid-19 Pandemic, going on its third year now, the Mission Appeal funds have been sorely missed. Although, there had been some semblance of normalcy, the continued health protocol restrictions also caused many organizations, including the Catholic church, to fall into financial challenging times. And with business closures and empty pews, financial support to Catholic educational institutions, including ICST, have reached a critical level. According to global health scientists, this pandemic is not about to go away any time soon. Unsettled tuition fees have resulted in the seminary’s funds to dry up, funds used to pay for property maintenance and salaries of the school staff. We are appealing to your kind heart to help us sustain our mission and to encourage vocation to the priesthood. Your financial support will help us train representatives of Christ among men to carry Christ’s work for the salvation of souls, in Christ’s name and by His power. This is an URGENT appeal. Along with the seminarians’ individual concerns, our priorities are for operations and repairs:
PhP5,000 Monthly Drinking Water Supply. Due to the crowding of the city, our tap water, which is from deep wells is no longer as safe as before. We procure purified water.
|  | PhP15,000 Daily Meal Plan for the Seminary Community. The seminary community includes 45 seminarians (SY 2021-2022) and 10 priests. We budget a reasonable amount for food, nutritious and filling enough to power us for the day | PhP20,000 Research Grant for Thesis Writing. Seminarians are enrolled in Thesis Writing at the third year of their academic residency. They write a thesis along the Systematic Theology tract.
|  | PhP40,000 Books for the Library. The Library Collection continues to be built up and updated. Most books are sourced outside the Philippines. |  | PhP50,000 Repair of Living Quarters of Seminarians, per room. The wear of the building has manifested in the seminarians’ living quarters. Required repairs: carpentry, electrical, and painting (last done 2001) |
